Garlynn started this fledgling map of beer a while back. It has 70-some bars and breweries on it now and people are adding more every day. If you haven't added your favorite Places to sit and sip a brewsky yet, now is the time.

The wonderful thing about this map is that it is open so that anyone can add their favorite spots or comment on other people's favorites without having to submit anything or ask permission. Each location can be like a blog post unto itself.
That said, I would like to mention some other great beer map projects that are out there, too. The Beer Mapping Project is very impressive. Beerinator helps promote North Carolina breweries. NH Brewers have an impressive map with great categories like "Meadery". Canadians have The Beer Hunter. Crooked Beat has a cool music venue and beer combination map. I'm sure there are more out there! It's a perfect subject for mapping.
