Nym, who is the moderator of the LA Burners on Tribe, started a map a while back showing the locations of several of the Burning Man Regionals. The map is open for anyone to add to, so if you know of a Burning Man event that is not on this map, please add it. Everyone too broke to make it to the big burn or too impatient to wait a whole year between events can check out what's going on close to home.
Nym also started another Burning Man map called On the Way to Black Rock City showing all of his favorite roadside attractions. He invites everyone to share their favorite hot springs and Home Depots.
This year's Burning Man Festival in Black Rock City, NV (out in the middle of the desert), is August 28-September 4. Registration deadlines are approaching for theme camps, mutant vehicles, and art.
The main Burning Man community forum is the 11,000+ member Burning Man Tribe. To hook up with the burners in your area, you might browse through these pages or do a google search for "Burning Man" and the name of your town.
