Good News for MapKit fans!
Today we launched some major upgrades to our popular MapKit product.
Thanks for all the feedback and ideas, we couldn't have done this without the tremendous support of our members!
We have added the most asked for features, now you can:
- Moderate comments on your MapKit before they show up live
- Host your MapKit on a specially dedicated MapPage (no need for your own site anymore)
- Easily add Places from a blog's RSS feed, or a .csv data file
- Better interface for MapKit visitors to add Photos, Video and HTML
- Turn the "Add Place" portion of MapKit on or off
- Set the map style (map/satellite/hybrid)
- Sync settings automatically to Your MapKit
Step by step help:
How to: Moderate comments on your MapKit before they show up live
From your (new) list of MapKits, click the "Settings" button
Choose the options to "review comments"
Then, when someone leaves a comment on your MapKit,
Click the "Pending Comments" button to review them
How to: Add Places from a blog's RSS feed
Click the "Add Places" button from Your (new) list of MapKits
You will see a list of posts from the feed, click the checkbox to add an address. All info that is in the feed will make it over into the Platial Place, including photos (like from flickr feeds) and videos.
