Another stunning map from Will over at On NY Turf. He is doing amazing stuff with these overlays, and he's a cool guy. During my recent trip to NYC he invited me to a lovely Korean dumpling house up on W 32nd St. Get the Kimchee ones, no joke!
Anyway, as a previous Williamsburg resident, it's so strange to see the furious pace of change in that SOHO to be hood.
The main issues that the locals have with all this development are:
- being priced out of the area (which arguably the massive amounts of development could offset (adding supply to the equation))
- overloading the already smothered infrastructure (subway, utilities, small roads, fire & police) with the exponential growth that is happening there right now
